Domain Authentication is a process where the issuing Certificate Authority (CA) verifies whether the applicant actually owns the domain. Domain Authentication requires that domain registration details must match the full organization name as on the certificate request. The organization name must be listed in the certificate request exactly same as in Who Is records. This process is followed by CA for issuing Domain Validation (DV) SSL Certificates and it is one of the mandatory requirements to obtain Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificates
